Teams
Teams group members for timeline filtering, capacity calculations, and reports. Most workspaces organize around functional teams — support tiers, ops squads, or regional groups.
Creating teams
Section titled “Creating teams”- Go to Settings → Teams.
- Click Create team.
- Enter a team name and optional description.
- Add members from the workspace roster.
A member can belong to multiple teams. Their events count toward each team’s capacity total.
Team membership
Section titled “Team membership”Assign members from Settings → Teams → [Team name] → Members. Removing a member from a team does not remove them from the workspace — they remain a member but no longer appear in that team’s views and reports.
Team-scoped event configuration
Section titled “Team-scoped event configuration”Teams can override workspace-level event categories and types:
- Team-specific categories — apply only to members of that team
- Team-specific types — inherit from a team or workspace category with team-local defaults
Use team-scoped configuration when different teams need different event structures (e.g., a support team with on-call types that an ops team doesn’t use).
Team settings
Section titled “Team settings”From Settings → Teams → [Team name]:
- Rename or archive the team
- Manage membership
- Configure team-scoped event categories and types
